Accessibility Policy

Introduction

Jointli is committed to making both our clinic and our website accessible and inclusive for everyone, including people living with disability and those using assistive technologies. We want your experience with us to be as easy, comfortable and safe as possible, from booking an appointment through to attending the clinic.

Our commitment

We aim to ensure that information about our services is easy to find, easy to understand and easy to use. This includes people who may have mobility, vision, hearing, cognitive or communication needs, or who prefer to access information in different ways.

Our website is being developed with recognised web accessibility guidelines in mind, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, so that content is available to the widest possible audience. This supports visitors using screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers and other accessibility features.

Accessibility in our clinic

We are working to make it easier for everyone to access and move around our clinic. This includes:

  • Step‑free access or ramp access where possible
  • Clear paths of travel in reception, waiting and treatment areas
  • Adjustable treatment tables and flexible room setups where possible
  • Access to accessible parking and toilets in or near the building (where available)

If you have specific mobility or support needs, please let us know when you book so we can plan the best way to support you on arrival.

Communication and support needs

We understand that people access health information in different ways. Where possible, we will:

  • Explain information in clear, plain language and check your understanding
  • Provide key information in written and verbal formats
  • Allow you to attend with a family member, carer or support worker if you wish
  • Make reasonable adjustments to appointment length, timing or setup when this will help you participate more comfortably in your care.

Please tell us about any communication or sensory needs when you book (for example, if you need extra time, prefer written information, or find busy environments difficult).

Feedback and contact

Accessibility is an ongoing priority for Jointli, and we know there is always more we can do. If you have difficulty accessing our website or clinic, or if you have suggestions to help us improve, we would like to hear from you.

Policy review statement

This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects the current processes and procedures of Jointli and current legislation requirements.

We may modify this policy at any time, at our sole discretion and all modifications will be effective immediately upon our posting of the modifications on this website. Please return periodically to review this policy.

We will notify patients of any significant changes by posting updates on our website and at the practice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
