Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician
Dr Leigh Golding is a specialist Sports & Exercise Medicine Physician and the current doctor for the Australian Men’s Cricket Team. With extensive experience in elite sports, Dr Golding has worked across a variety of disciplines including cricket, rugby union, rugby league, athletics, golf, and netball.
In addition to his role with Cricket Australia, Dr Golding provides Match Day Medical support for international rugby union, NRL, and Super Rugby competitions. His previous roles include serving as the team doctor for the NSW Swifts Netball, NSW Athletics, Australia U20s and U18s Rugby teams, Presidents Cup International Golf teams, and as an assistant doctor for the Cronulla Sharks in the NRL. He has also been part of the Match Day Medical teams for high-profile events such as the Sydney 7s Rugby, FFA Soccer matches, Wallabies Tests, Sydney International Rowing Regattas, and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Dr Golding is committed to providing care informed by the latest scientific research. He publishes research annually and specialises
in managing musculoskeletal conditions, including the use of ultrasound-guided injections when indicated.
