If you have sustained a recent knee injury and feel it could be a torn ACL, speaking with a professional should be your first step. We work in team with the best knee orthopaedics specialist in Sydney,The Knee Institute, to provide a seamless process for patients looking for a diagnosis and management plan.
Recovering from an ACL injury requires a dedicated and personalised approach. At Jointli, we offer a range of options to suit your specific needs. Our physiotherapists will help you with healing and regaining function whilst our strength & conditioning coaches will develop your athleticism and confidence.
We are ACL specialists and have led over 450 patients through this process.
The vast majority of our patients consistently achieve target benchmarks at the designated milestones and successfully return to sport.
Our management plans are research-backed and routinely evaluated to ensure you can focus on what matters, without the fluff.
We progress you through each stage of your rehabilitation based on your ability to achieve target milestones.
We are an exercise-based practice and make great use of our purpose-built facility designed with ACL rehab in mind.
From cooling & compression to blood flow restriction and electrical stimulation, we have all the evidence-based interventions you need.
We place great value in coaching both in the gym and on-field
We test routinely to ensure your route back to sport is optimised and adjusted where required.
A database of over 5000 knee tests and the expertise
We are in your corner, so you don’t have to take on your injury alone.
If you are heading to surgery, you should ensure you start with some prehabilitation sessions. Undertaking surgery with a straight knee, no swelling, full knee extension quad activation and good strength can greatly improve your return to activities in the few weeks following surgery. We advise you to see one of our Physiotherapist 1x week if your surgery is booked within 4 weeks. If surgery is planned further away, you will be able to discuss prehabilitation options at your initial consultation.
Following surgery, you will need to see a physio at a minimum twice per week for the first month. Later on your individual appointments will transition to a weekly- and later on to a monthly-schedule. We advise to supplement these consultations with our Group Rehab, which allow you to be coached throughout the whole process.

Move away from the traditional rehab model. Access a structured pathway that guides you towards your goals.
Our ACL membership plans are structured over 52-weeks and are designed to facilitate progress, promote accountability and drive results. The membership includes a blend of individual and group rehab appointments, on-field running & conditioning sessions and includes our 3-stage return to sport testing.
Not all ACL injuries require surgery. Our team has extensive experience in managing ACL tears non-surgically through a combination of physiotherapy to help settle the joint, rebuild function and improve movement, and strength and conditioning once a good level of function has been regained.
Rehabilitation can start straight after ACL injury and follows the same principles. Generally, progress is usually faster because you don’t need to account for the postoperative pain, swelling and difficulty contracting your muscles that occurs with surgery.
If you have gone through at least three months of rehab and still don't feel satisfied with your knee function and stability, ACL surgery may be a good option to consider.
In the initial stages of your injury, you will need to see a physio at a minimum twice per week for the first month. Later on, your
individual appointments will transition to a weekly- and later on to a monthly-schedule. We advise to supplement these consultations with
